So I can't say for certain what the deal is with this whole building man, but its pretty huge and totally deserted except for this weird guy upstairs whos got light emanating from him and shit. Your character may be familiar with some of them, but not that they can be immediately used outside of a task. Also, yes, you might want to think about what types of magic they prefer, and note that usually water types don't also use fire, etc.
