I'm pretty sure the view of the audience in the bar at daytime is that Dark Star took a griffon from a table to a corner, they exchanged necklaces, they started making out and he groped her belly. Both DS and BS must have really high secret luck values to not get kicked out of establishments for PDAs.

For example, I thought the whole jungle sequence with Iron was just a dream as he slept on Cauldron's couch, because I hadn't picked up the sudden transition between scenes due to overlapping story arcs. My trying to be pedantic only serves to annoy because of that.

Actually, no. That's exactly what the Jungle sequence with Iron was. Iron's player was more confused than you were. And the exact location of where the kissing was taking place wasn't specified so that can either backfire significantly or be completely fine depending on where it takes place

I daresay your worldbuilding is too good, because you constructed a complex narrative and motivations that Iron's simple native mind couldn't have come up with on its own. All these stories are really entertaining, but they mess with my head because I try to place things precisely in terms of time and space and linear narrative, and the nature of a split-party campaign doesn't lend well to that.

No, I get what you are saying. It was initially intended to just be a dream sequence, then it got longer. Rather than doing the loose physics of a dream I wanted it to be very logical and naturalistic. Like there is a scene where Pear is explaining the erosion of limestone caves from an underground river, as well as all of the history, and it's all scientific and logical well beyond what Iron's dreams would logically be. Besides this, the quest lasted months IRL, and so I figured Iron's player would be pissed if he completely lost everything when his character woke up. So I figured that at minimuum he needed to keep the progress his character made with ethe Cauldron Character, I needed it to still be a dream, and I needed some way for the dream world to be as real as the real world. So what I came up with was that Princess Luna has taken Iron, Black Cauldron, and perhaps Pear Faucet, and placed them in a dream sequence set in the future to show what the Pear character intended, so as to warn somepony of the coming threat. This was kind of problematic because the inclusion of a cannon princess made it seem very urgent and thus could override other quests I wanted them to go on, but it seemed like the least bad solution to a problem that came up after months of making things up on the spot
