755 US diplomats in Russia are to be evicted in retaliation for US sanctions against Russia voted on by Congress

>following the US Congress' approval of new sanctions against Russia, Iran and North Korea, the Russian foreign ministry announced that Moscow told Washington to reduce the number of its diplomatic staff in Russia to 455 people
>"The American side has made a move which, it is important to note, hasn't been provoked by anything, to worsen Russian-US relations. [It includes] unlawful restrictions, attempts to influence other states of the world, including our allies, who are interested in developing and keeping relations with Russia," Putin said
>""We've been waiting for quite a long time that maybe something would change for the better, we had hopes that the situation would change. But it looks like, it's not going to change in the near future... I decided that it is time for us to show that we will not leave anything unanswered,"
>The number of US diplomatic service staff in Russia was ordered to be reduced in order to equal the number of Russian diplomats in the US by September 1. As of now, it "greatly exceeds" the number of Russia's embassy staff in the US, the ministry said. The American diplomatic mission includes more than 1,200 personnel

It's because of US Congress passing the sanctions. In fact, the bills in congress are specificity designed to prohibit the president from reducing the sanctions. The Trunk administration doesn't like the sanctions but there is nothing they can do
>when my computer randomly freezes so I can link to the thread where all of this is made clear

Why the hell do we have 12,000 diplomats in Russia alone on the taxpayer's dime? This is bullshit.

Is it me or have I been the only one completely confused on why we imposed the sanctions to begin with?

I think the public placation version is Crimea. (Consider tho that the US might have been trying regime change in Ukraine which has strong ties to Russian culture/people).

The hidden reason is The People need to be distracted (and hopefully die) from the increasing knowledge and threats posed by the knowledge of the Deep State and it's evil illegal activities.

Put another way Trump is going after Clintons and CIA still. War would stop that.

Looks like Germany is a bit pissy over the fact that the US wants to sanction Russia because of the eviction of US diplomats. Can't say I feel sorry for Germany.

>New penalties against Moscow proposed by US lawmakers violate international law and officials in Brussels should consider countermeasures, the German economy minister said on Monday.
>"We consider this as being against international law, plain and simple," Brigitte Zypries told the Funke Mediengruppe newspaper chain.
>"Of course we don't want a trade war. But it is important the European Commission now looks into countermeasures,” she added.
>According to the minister, “the Americans can not punish German companies because they operate economically in another country."

Congress should retract these bullshit sanctions. Even the European Cuckqueens have problems with this.
Why is t that whenever the U.S. Congress makes a unanimous decision, it's usually some reckless, ill-considered move?

I have to admit I haven't set myself into the sanctions. But as I understand it the reason why Germany is pissed is mainly because they are under the mercy of Russia for their natural gas supply. So the sanctions will lead to some German companies not being in a position to cooperate with Russian companies with the building of the gas line if they also want to do business in the US. So Germany don't have a choice other than cooperating with Russia. But again I haven't read up on the sanctions and what the ramifications are.

Germany is an export country and gets constantly screwed over when it comes to the distrubution of colonies or natural resources. We have to pay for everything and somehow are still able to dominate all the trade in europe.

As far as I am concerned we should drop all trades with Russia to 0 and invest into underground Gas Wrecking. Germany needs a self sustaining economy again to become independent from the EU, whos only keeping us around for trading routes and money slave.

This is unbecoming of us to impose the sanctions. We should unite with slavs to retake Constantinople tbh.

Yep, the German economy is what keeps the EU afloat. If Germany exits the EU is bankrupt. And if you do as you say become independent and stops trade with Russia no sanctions would affect Germany.
