Hey /mlpol/, re-watching django here cause I actually enjoy the film. Got a thought though.

Isn't it funny how, to make the black characters relatable, they have to be made "white"? Take Brunhilde, Djangos wife. She speaks German, and is partially educated. She does not, in just about any fashion, act "black".

Then you've got Samuel Jackson's character, the niggerest of the niggers. In his own interview Jackson said "Oh, you want me to be the most hated nigger in film history." That character could not BE more nigger.

TL;DR I find it funny that, to make the black characters palatable, they have to act white or emulate whites
